From 2003 to 2016, Texas saw a 19-fold increase in the number of school-aged children with immunization exemptions.1 In 2016, Texas saw four mumps outbreaks, the largest caseload in 22 years.2 These events warrant discussion of the current state of immunization policy in Texas and possible future directions.
Join DFC for “Immunization Crisis,” series of discussions addressing vaccine hesitancy in clinical practice, evidence-based immunization policy proposals, and engaging community members in vaccine advocacy.
