May 31: “Immunization Crisis: Future Directions for Physicians and Policy Makers”

April 10, 2018 by DFC

From 2003 to 2016, Texas saw a 19-fold increase in the number of school-aged children with immunization exemptions.1 In 2016, Texas saw four mumps outbreaks, the largest caseload in 22 years.2 These events warrant discussion of the current state of immunization policy in Texas and possible future directions.

Join DFC for “Immunization Crisis,” series of discussions addressing vaccine hesitancy in clinical practice, evidence-based immunization policy proposals, and engaging community members in vaccine advocacy.

Details still being finalized; please check back soon for additional information and featured speakers!

Registration fee includes dinner, and free parking is available in the United Way garage. As always, this forum is FREE for DFC members! Learn more about becoming a DFC member.
