2019 Youth Art Contest

Doctors for Change (DFC) invites Houston area youths (grades K-12th) to enter our 2019 art, creative writing, photography, and video media contest with a chance to win one of several prizes! View last year’s winning entries.

Our theme this year is Food as Fuel: What’s on Your Plate?

Think about the following questions to guide your entries:

Submissions will be judged on creativity, written or visual impact, artistic merit,
and originality.

The contest will be open August 1 through November 1, 2019.

Contestants have a chance to win gift cards and other exciting prizes. Winning pieces will be published on the DFC website and showcased at a DFC event. The winning pieces may also be used in DFC publications and promotional materials.

Deadline

The deadline to submit artwork is November 1, 2019. Artwork may be submitted online or by mail. Online entries must be submitted by 11:59 PM and mailed entries must be postmarked by the deadline date.

Signed consent forms must accompany all entries. Please see official rules and regulations for additional details. Only individual entries will be accepted. All entries must be postmarked by November 1, 2019. Electronic entries must be received by midnight on this date. Winners will be selected by a panel of DFC members.
